Post MV Ultramarine, Deck 8 Aviation was chosen specifically to consult and advise MV Scenic Eclipse I & Scenic Eclipse II for adherence to standards and operational efficiency. MV Ultramarine & the two prestigious Scenic Eclipse I & II vessels currently make up the industries largest commercial maritime helicopter operations in the world. While they represent similar operations, they require individual attention specific to their operational parameters.

Having spent 5 years directing and overseeing the build, launch and operationalization of Ultramarine’s helicopter operations, Felix Christians achieved what no one before had done, operating a fully commercial, dual helicopter operation on a passenger vessel. Meeting all the complex challenges that a maritime helicopter operation in Antarctica brings and transporting up to 200 guests successfully and safely was a world first!
